New beginnings? (Closed)

Canis step gentlely in the deep thick snow, flurries sticking to his already pale fur. He flick his fluffed out tail in annoyance, knowing full well that his pelt would be wet later on. He needed to find shelter before that happen. The canine much rather not deal with the icy cold.

Letting his pink tongue roll out, soft pants escape his maw. The loner has been traveling a very long time and he was exhausted to say the least. The faint scent of wolves living in the near by areas caused his nose to twitch. He briefly wonder if he was ready to go back to the pack life. He wasn't so sure. Maybe it was about time. Shaking his elegant hand, Canis moved forward in search of a proper shelter. His deep golden eyes search the open field for any type of high vegetation. He was half alert in case any of the wolves decide to investigate his drifting scent.

Armani padded across the tundra, her delicate pads creating a small crunch as she broke into the top layer of snow. A strong wind carrying small flakes of snow blew at her face, but her fluffy winter pelt kept her warm. It was almost as if the loner was unaware of the other wolf that happened to be in the valley. She stopped for a moment, head tilting slightly downwards as an aud pricked forwards, hearing the small sounds of a tiny mouse scamper underneath the snow.
Armani had learned quite a deal about how to catch small mice under snow, especially after watching a few feral foxes have a go. She leaned back, baring all weight onto her haunches before leaping up, tail twirling as if it was propelling her. She shifted her weight mid-air, allowing her muzzle to make contact with the snow first, breaking the slightly ice glazed seal, teeth making contact with a small furry hide. The female pulled her mouth out, holding her small prize as she happily trotted forwards, legs flying through the air with suspension.

Canis ears twisted back at the sound of snow crushed under weight. Turning sharply his golden eyes spotted the cause of the sounds just yards away. In an instant, Canis lowered himself to the ground learning long ago his coat blend in with the winter wonderland. His sharp gaze followed the strangers movement. He tilted his head slightly, noting the she wolf, he assumed by the soft scent that was guided to his nose, was hunting. He also assumed that she was a loner like himself, drawn to these lands. Not feeling threaten by the least, Canis stood back up  making his way closer. The thought of interactions with his kind after years driving him towards her. "Hello?" He called quietly voice rough not use to specking, hoping the wind would drift his voice towards her.

Armani heard a faint noise in the distance. The female came to an abrupt stop, wondering if it was just the wind. "Hello?" Nope, not the wind.
She attempted to look around, trying to find the source of the voice, but yet another blast of wind knocked fluff into her eyes. She blew it out, straining her cranium to get a glance at the silver-colored stranger. Armani lowered her head, trudging a bit closer to investigate the wolf. She couldn't think of the last time she had met a friendly wanderer. The female stopped a few feet out, banner wagging loosely in greeting, her amber orbs gleaming.

He stop in his tracks, letting the she wolf to come to him. The wind picking up causing his long fur to spin everywhere. Seeing that she held a friendly stance, Canis relaxed pleased to know that she wasn't foolish enough to attack. His own tail sway slightly in response to her greeting. "Sorry to interrupted your hunting. Couldn't help myself." He apologized, his tone polite. The silver wolf drew closer to her, the winds almost drowning out his voice. Now they were muzzle to muzzle.

Armani observed the stranger's interactions, giving a cautious glance back over her shoulder at the mention of hunting. "Oh, it's fine. I caught all I needed to." The she-wolf said, turning her head back to the male. She was caught off guard a bit by his advance forwards, causing her to jerk her neck back quickly. Armani could see him much clearly now, the black stripe on his muzzle, the individual silver wisps that covered his broad nape.
She lowered her head to it's original place, wind whipping her fluff around in every direction. "Why don't we find a place away from this wind?" Armani suggested, eyes quickly grazing his deep, golden orbs before she began to pad forwards, headed towards the base of a large pine.

He tilted his head, letting the she wolf go first. "What a grand idea." He huffs, picking up his paws following right behind her flank. His eyes darted around the snowy lands before landing on the female in front of him once more. Her pelt was a mixture of dark colors. It was intriguing. Where he came from was wolves with lighter tone of fur.

Making it at the base of the pine, Canis made quick work shaking the clingy flurries off his pelt. His fur standing on end. Knowing all to well he would be unable to fix it, Canis chose to ignore it. He turn his attention back on the fae. "Would it be rude if I ask for your name?" He asked to the point. He would love to know who he was speaking to. His tone filled with curious intent and politeness.

Armani rocked back on her haunches, tail wrapping daintily around her toes. She shook her head, attempting to knock the snowflakes loose. "Armani" She replied softly, taking note of his polite demeanor. "And you are?" The female asked, her bright amber orbs falling upon the silver male's frame.

His ears perk listening as she spoke her name. "It's a pleasure Armani, the name's Canis." He dip his head towards her. Shifting his position, he took to sitting on the back of his legs, curling his fluffy tail around his paws. Now comfortable, he let a wolfish grin grace his features. "So why you around here? Alone might I add." He begin, one ear falling back.

Armani grinned softly. "Canis, huh? I like it." She replied, banner twitching softly. Her head tilted slightly to the left as she watched his expression change, fore paw pushing aside some snow. "It's a long story." She began, her eyes narrowing playfully. "Hey, I know what you're thinking, and I can take care of myself just fine." Armani huffed, tongue darting out to lick a snowflake off of her nose. "I could ask the same about you." She added, auds swiveling forwards.

Canis shook his head in amusement. "Why would I think such a thing?" He could see the female could take care of herself. The slaughtered prey back there could validate that. Feeling an itch behind his ear, Canis lifted his leg scratching it furiously. He closed his eyes enjoying the relief from the irritable itch. The silver wolf flickers his attention back to Armani. "Just following where the winds take me is all." He grunts, shaking out his fur. Ah that hit the spot, he hums mentality.

"Was actually thinking the possibility in joining a pack. Fresh one at that." He shared his past thoughts. He smelled several fresh packs within the area. Was probably why he drifted here in the first place. It was time for new beginnings for the male.

Armani nodded as she listened, a thoughtful expression on her face. "That's what I was thinking too." She replied at the mention of possible joining a pack, tail swishing slowly on the ground. Maybe Canis would like to travel with her in the search of finding one? "I just don't know if...well if they would all accept me." Armani admitted, eyes lowering to the ground. She didn't exactly have "pack experience."
Aside from that, if a pack happened to be full, they could get killed just trying to enter the edge of the territory. She lifted her head back up, one ear flicking back at the noise of the wind picking up the pace.

He shook his head." Nonsense. You worry to much. If they don't except you then their idiotic." He huffs. The pack law was burned in their bones even if they were born a loner. Wolves are pack animals after all. Though he could understand her fear. Really alphas are unpredictable.

Canis looked up noticing the snow storm started to ease up. He nuged the nerves female. "Don't worry about it now. Anything can happen. Let's try and look for one shall we?" His lips turn up in a small smile, meaning to reassure Armani. He didn't mind having a companian on his travels. Who knows could be fun.

Armani's fears were placed aside with the male's reassurance. She nodded, slowly rising to a standing position, a soft smile on her face. "Ok, where to?" She said softly, tail brushing against his hind leg. Canis was surprisingly different than the other wolves that she had met. For some reason she felt comfortable around him, even after only knowing him for a short amount of time. Armani couldn't count how many times she had been betrayed or attacked by other loners, this was a nice change. She took in a deep breath, slightly excited for what they would find.

His ears flicker in thought. Good question. Getting up Canis hopped on top of a root, taking a look around. A large forest greeted his eyes. That was a start. "Maybe over there. There's some fresh scent trails of other wolves." His tail curled against his back, itching to get moving again. The winds have finally stopped a perfect chance to start their search. "Seems like the best bet." Canis looked down back to the female.

She nodded in agreement, scoping out the path that they would be taking. Armani stared deeply into the forest, picking up the scents of other wolves. The female grinned softly "Lets get going then, don't want to waste any daylight." She replied playfully, anxious to see if she would be taking the first steps into a whole new life. To be honest, she had no idea what to expect. The loner would just have to take it on openly, embracing any new changes for the better that would take place.

His eyes couldn't help but roll at her playful retort. "Then come along slow poke." He barked right back, kicking his legs into gear. He couldn't help but laugh over his shoulder to the female. It was most likely they would end up being pack mates once this journey was over for them. He didn't mind at all, she would make a great friend to watch his back, as he would do her's. The snow sunk under his paws, making it quite harder to run his top speed like he would do when the sun melts the snow in the season of spring. His legs took him towards the Akita forest, where a few wolf's scent filled his nostrils.
